Unleashing a sonic storm from New Hampshire, blackened melodic death metal act BEGAT THE NEPHILIM delivers high energy and intricate riffing with otherworldly vocals. Check out their latest single "Ossuary" and witness their intense skill set in action.

The video for "Ossuary" brings the album's cover art to life, designed by Giannis Nakos and inspired by vocalist Tyler Smith's concept. The song holds deep personal meaning as it serves as an ode to the deceased, including Tyler's father and friends. The metaphorical ossuary represents a place to lay to rest the memories of the departed.

Guitarist Cam Dupere explains the musical vision behind "Ossuary," blending frenetic energy with a brooding atmosphere and black metal-influenced riffs. The video, skillfully crafted by Eric DiCarlo from SquareUp Studios, adds a haunting dimension.

Anticipation builds for their third album, set to be mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson from Cryptopsy, known for his work with Ingested and Beyond Creation. Begat The Nephilim's "Ossuary" is a chilling prelude to what awaits us.

Prepare for the musical assault and delve deeper into 'The Grand Procession.' This metal act reaffirms their place as a formidable force in the metal world. Keep an eye out for BEGAT THE NEPHILIM; their upcoming creations are bound to leave us craving for more.
JUNE 2023
Wow! its June already, I should start off with our June show on June 24th. Our good friend Kam Bueno lost her home to a fire on Mothers Day. She pretty much lost everything. Somethings can be replaced but many things can not be replaced, such as family photos and memories that had been collected over the years. We decided to put together an event to benefit Kam by raising money and donations she will be able to get into a new place and start over. Its the least we could do for her. She has supported so many local bands for so many years and she has gone through so much tragedy over the last few years. we wanted to bring the community together to help her out in this time of need.
Sad news, George Howard, local musician and founder of the Tucson Musicians Museum has passed away. I became friends with George about 5 years ago. He was an awesome guy and he opened the doors of the museum to our Metal community as well. George understood the importance of all styles of music and he gave back to his community like no other. He founded the Tucson Musicians Museum to highlight and celebrate some of the great musicians Tucson has. He will be missed by many and his legacy will live on through the continuation of the Tucson Musicians Museum. Rif in Peace George.

Music News
HELL DOUBT has been lighting up the stage in Tucson for a little while now. They put on a great live performance and I'm really digging the new music they are releasing. They Just released another track called "Passion Statement". Make sure you share this one with all your besties...

Here is a review of their song from The Metalverse.

"Tucson's very own, Hell Doubt has their latest single, "Passion Statement" out now! The 4-minute song starts with a heavy-hitting, classic metal-style guitar riff. Chanting leads into punk rock reminiscent vocals, which transitions into a chorus with the same punk style vocals that alternate with screaming/growling.

Hell Doubt takes influences from heavy metal and punk rock and finds a home somewhere in between, with elements from both genres. "Passion Statement" keeps an overall heavy tone yet manages to stay very punk with lots of melodic elements. Overall, Hell Doubt has created a very catchy song that fans of punk bands like Green Day and all metal genres will enjoy! Listen to "Passion Statement" now!"

 FEBRUARY 2023
Feb 16, 2023

Welcome to 2023.

Its hard to believe how quickly time passes. Last year we got the ball rolling. We hosted 10 live shows and we inducted, for the first time, 2 Metal musicians into the Tucson Musicians Museum. Matt Pimple (TOP) and Damon Mariscal(BOTTOM, RIP).
As we begin this new year we must contemplate which local Metal musician we, as a society, wish to see inducted into the Tucson Musicians Museum this year. There are many who deserve it but we need to narrow our list down to 2. Send us your suggestions on FB or email or however you want to communicate with us. We would love to hear from you. It is important that we preserve our rich history of inspiring musicians so they can continue to inspire the generations to come.
Now this year is upon us and moving fast. Our goal is to start working with small business whose products and services benefit the societies members and who share our love for the music community. Steller Smoke shop is offering a discount for TMS members.

We really enjoy seeing you all at our live shows. We just kicked off the year with a few fun shows. First we had Non Grata, Dead Rose and The Sindicate kicked it off right in January with a smoke'n show. Click on photos to the left to view more photos from the show

Then we hosted the "Riff Riders" tour with Ape Vermin from North Carolina and Twin Wizard from Northern Illinois. We invited Tucson band Lethean to open the evening and they set the stage on fire, they represented Tucson well. Twin Wizard followed up with some wizardry of their own, this two piece band packs the punch off most heavy weights. Then Ape Vermin took the stage and ground it into dust with their brand of "Stoner Sludge" metal.
Thank you all who attended these shows or any of our events or that have purchased TMS merchandise. It is through your continued support that we will, together, "Rebuild Stronger" this music scene that needed reform, even before COVID changed the game.
This year we have some exciting events coming up.
Thursday FEB 16th Ladies night at the H.O.B.  We have Fractured Earth, Curfew and Thy Nightmare and hosted by Michele J.

Friday, March 10th, we will be hosting our second Industry Night. We Invite anyone in the music industry to come out and mingle with other like minded creatives. We will also enjoy music videos and recorded music from local and regional independent artists.

With live music to follow from Johnny Arson, Kenopsia, Prince Willie, Purge the Heretics from Colorado, I'LL V, Like A Villain and Theocide. Do not miss out. Tell your friends to become a member today so they can get in for free.
We have been thinking about some other events that we may host and we would like your input. What if we hosted a 48hr music video contest?  10 bands and 10 film makers have 48hrs to create their music videos, The videos must contain elements and props presented to them at the start of the contest. Then we would host a viewing party and give out prizes and awards. If you are in a band with music ready for a music video or you are a film maker who wants to show off his/her creative skills please contact us so we can make this fun event a reality.

Our Band data base continues to grow but we sure could use your help to introduce us to bands that are not yet in our database. Not just from Tucson, and Arizona, but from all 50 States. We are also populating our American Metal Society database. If you discover a new independent artist, check our database to see if they are listed, If not, send us the link to their FB, Instagram or website so we can add them.
